Approach

A disciplined path from problem to implementation

Every engagement starts with a real decision, not a methodology. We agree on the scope before any work begins.

How we work

Four stages, each with an output

The same four stages apply to a process redesign, a modernization decision, or a workforce operations problem.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We start with the operating problem, not a methodology. We learn how work moves, where it stalls, and what your current numbers do and don't tell you.

    Output: Current-state analysis, constraint findings

  2. 02

    Redesign

We define the future-state process, operating model, and measures. We also set decision rights, so the improvements hold after we leave.

Output: Future-state process, operating model, KPI set

  3. 03

    Align technology

We identify where systems or automation earn their cost. Then we write requirements precise enough to evaluate the market against.

Output: Requirements, evaluation criteria, vendor assessment

  4. 04

    Implement & measure

We sequence the work so your team can absorb it. Then we measure whether the change produced the result it was meant to.

Output: Implementation roadmap, adoption and measurement plan

Engagement models

Ways to bring Ksquared into the work

Each model is sized to the decision or change it has to produce. That ranges from a standalone assessment to a subcontracted workstream inside a prime's program.

The Operating Assessment

A fixed-scope diagnostic, 3 to 4 weeks, that produces findings, a future-state model, and a sequenced roadmap. The most common place to start.

Defined transformation project

Redesign and implementation support with a fixed scope, agreed deliverables, and an end date.

Subcontract or teaming participation

Subconsultant support to consulting, engineering, and government primes, on a pursuit or in delivery.

We also own a single workstream inside a larger program, or advise through a modernization or operating-model change.

Delivery model

Delivered remotely, scoped to deliverables

Every engagement has a fixed scope, defined deliverables, and an end date. The work runs remotely in scheduled working sessions with your team, which keeps the cost down and the calendar predictable.

How we work
Remotely, in scheduled working sessions
What you buy
Fixed scope, defined deliverables, an end date
On-site
Available in the Atlanta metro when a project calls for it
Capacity
A limited number of engagements at a time
How remote delivery works

Remote does not mean at a distance from the work. We get close to the operation through:

  • ·Interviews with supervisors, planners, and the people doing the work
  • ·Work observed by screen share and recorded walkthroughs
  • ·Working sessions to test the redesign with the people who will run it
  • ·Document, data, and system review between sessions

Not sure which model fits? Describe the situation and we'll recommend the smallest scope that answers it.
